We are Ace Vets Racing. AVR is a Mostly Military Veteran race team. We started Ace Vets Racing because we all love to be Off-road and have a background in some form of motor sports. We also help each other and other vets with PTSD by keeping our minds busy on the building/racing of the Ultra4 stock class jeep.
My name is Cody Shoemaker. My Fiancé and I started Ace Vets Racing and It was just a dream for us to start a racing team. I heard about Ultra4 by people talking about King Of The Hammers so I started looking it up and that’s when I fell in love with the sport. As I started researching more into Ultra4 and I found that they have a stock class. I instantly wanted to join. So, I started talking to my buddies that I trail ride with about it. They seamed interested in doing it with me so I dove in head first. I made a profile on Ultra4 Racing. I had no idea what our team name should be. I had a few ideas but none of them really fit well. Then my fiancé came up with Ace Vets Racing and it was perfect. So, I contacted Ultra4 about getting a Vehicle number and we chose 4636. After that I started talking to the venders at our local Jeep events and writing lots of emails to companies about being a sponsor for the race team. After many months of emails and stress, we now have Warn Industries, Metalcloak Suspensions, BFGoodrich Tires, Vision Wheels, PRP Seats, KCHilites, Rugged Radios, GenRight Offroad, AutoZone, ADS Racing Shocks, Bunker Branding, Vinyl Decal & Graphic Design of East TN, and Mountain Man Beard Products as our current sponsors/partners.
